ABOUT SIMEULUE ISLAND
Simeulue is an island 150 kilometres off the west coast of Indonesia, Sumatra. It has a population of around 93,000 and is neighboured by the world-famous Nias; you can only imagine the waves.
Simeulue is under Sharia Law, meaning women must be covered outside the resort. Unfortunately, this means no exposure of the knees, cleavage or bikinis through towns.
